In Michigan the 15th of November is considered by many as a holiday or at least once was. A holiday where family and friends alike meet usually at a camp, miles from town surrounded by National Forest or Commercial Forest Lands (CFL) to pursue the Whitetail deer. For my family we have a camp along the Paint River surrounded by 1000s of acres of CFL. On this particular year the season must have started on a Monday, and I had happened to go out to my camp on Friday to spend some early time with my grandfather. After a day of gloomy weather, and a camp without electricity, a young teen could get quite bored.
